Monthly Statistics
To: Brokers and Agents
From: Taylor Oldroyd, CEO Utah County
Association of REALTORS®
Subject: Monthly Statistics- June 2009
Summary:
1. June homes sales are up and
up strong compared to last year. With national
news confirming a turn in the market and the
State Home Run Grant a huge success, sales
surged 42 percent to 558 units sold this year
compared to 394 last year.
2. DOM - Days on market is down
from 103 days last month to 91 in June but still
up from 73 last year.
3. Junes strong sales is
confirmed because the 42 percent rise in sales
comes while the number of listings is down 17
percent to 4,379.
4. Condo sales are up as well
to 78 units this year compared to 66 last year -
a 18 percent rise.
5. Homes priced above $500K
showed strong with 15 units sold, with a
reduction of DOM from 119 to 100.
With continued national reports of a strong
economy and our community as a prefered place to
locate a business, continued strong demand, and
federal and state incentives, sales rose 42
percent. I have to go all the way back to Aug of
2007 to find a month as strong as June. I am
confident that UCAR members will receive this
news as nothing as a welcome sign of what we
have know all along, that Utah County is a great
place and now is a great time to buy.
